A transport strike by government backed transport workers has complicated the political situation in Bangladesh. The 14-party opposition has termed the strike program a 'brazen attempt of the ruling alliance to foil the rally' and threatened a fresh spell of program including hartal to renew movements for ousting the government Leader of the opposition Sheikh Hasina said that people should resist this attempt to disrupt a peaceful rally against the government by staging their protests wherever they might be . However government has denied its involvement in “arranging” the strike.
