In this edition of Hello Washington, our weekly call- in show, listeners asked questions on the evolution and progress of science fiction in Bangla. The discussions centered around the questions of science as a literary genre, relationship between science and literature, contribution of science fiction towards actual scientific achievements, history of Bangla science fiction. Our guests were Professor Syed Manzurul Islam from Dhaka University who writes Bengali short stories and is a prominent literary critic, Professor Taradash Bandapaddhaya, a fiction writer from Kolkata and Ali Imam a writer of science fiction from Dhaka.
