Parliament: British Muslims Feel Targeted in War on Terror

A new parliamentary report says British Muslims feel they have been unfairly singled out by police in the war on terrorism.

The report by the parliament's Home Affairs Committee, released on Wednesday, said British Muslims feel stigmatized and believe they are much more likely to be stopped and searched by police than non-Muslims.

Committee chairman John Denham says Britain's Muslim community overwhelmingly rejects terrorism. He said Muslims must be fully involved when the government draws up its anti-terrorism strategy.
