Leaders of Jama’at-e-Islami Bangladesh have, in a meeting with Christana Rocca , the US Assistant Secretary of State for South Asian Affairsin Dhaka on Friday said that the Jama’at thinks that the Ahmadiyyas are not Muslims but they should have freedom to practice their faith and no one should threaten them. After the meeting one of the Jama’at leaders Barrister Abdur Razzak told journalists that they exchanged views on the prevailing political situation and religious extremism in Bangladesh. He said that , on behalf of his party, he informed the US Assistant Secretary of State that Bangladesh is a democratic country and there is almost no influence of religious extremism in the country.
