British Police on Manhunt for Suspects in Failed London Bombings

British police are conducting a nationwide manhunt for the three remaining suspects being sought in last week's failed bomb attacks on the London transit system.

Police on Thursday arrested nine people in connection with the case, but they do not include the three suspected bombers still at large. On Wednesday, police arrested one of the alleged bombers, Yasin Hassan Omar, in Birmingham.

Police say Mr. Omar fled from the Warren Street subway station in London on July 21 after a hidden bomb - one of four such devices that was scheduled to go off that day - failed to explode there.

They describe him as a Somali-born man who has lived in Britain since 1992.
