Qazi Ghulam Mahboob, former President of Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association , in an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service talks about the role of the bar association, separation of judiciary from the executive and the rule of law. He said that the Bar Association’s main objectives are to improve the standard of legal profession and to create such atmosphere which can ensure the citizens’ rights. He also talked about the effect of partisanship on legal profession. He says that if the situation does not improve, it might hamper the growth of democracy.
