The 64th death anniversary of great poet Rabindranath Tagore was observed in the Dhaka and elsewhere across Bangladesh in a befitting manner. Tributes were paid to the poet by different socio-cultural organization. The Bengalis recalled the poet with love, affection and gratitude. Different social and cultural organizations observed the day through holding musical programs, discussions and seminars to mark the day. Poet Rabindranath Tagore who enriched the Bangla language and literature with his sharp talent, merit and scholarship died in 1941 at the age of 80. He put on unlimited contribution in the domain of Bangla literature by composing hundreds of poems, poetry, stories and novels to take the Bangla literature to its pick. For his invaluable contribution in poems Rabindranath was addressed as Kabiguru. Novels 'Gora' and 'GhoreBaire' are momentous creations of Tagore. Bangla Academy organized a discussion, followed by dance performance at the academy. Shilpakala Academy organized a discussion to recall the contribution of the Kabiguru in the field of arts and culture.
