Salma Khan, a member-expert of The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), says that although the convention was passed in 1979 , there are many countries where women are still discriminated against. In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Salma Khan who is also the chairperson of CEDAW Bangladesh narrates how in Bangladesh the convention is still ignored.
