The committee headed by BUET Professor Dr. M. Tamim has determined that the second blowout at the Tengratila gas field in Sunamganj, Bangladesh, damaged about two billion cubic feet (bcf) gas. That is worth around Taka 260 million.
Dr. Tamim submitted the committee’s report on Sunday to Mahmudur Rahman, advisor to the energy ministry. Canadian operator, Niko, is being held responsible for the explosion. Matiur Rahman Choudhury has more on the story.
