Indian Home Minister Shivraj Patel is scheduled to visit several border areas of West Bengal. He will visit West Bengal’s border with Bihar and he has a plan to visit the border areas near Siliguri. In the meantime the Indian Chief Election Commissioner B B Tandon on completing his visit to bordering regions of West Bengal had sent a note to the Home Ministry. A growing awareness has been created in the region because of the militant attacks in some parts of the country as well as of the pressure by the election commission.
