Union Minister for Agriculture Sharad Power has emphasized on the creation of a food bank in view of the death due to prevailing poverty, malnutrition and hunger.
In an Eastern Regional Conference in Kolkata, on the Objects of Public Distributions , Mr Power said that while there in West Bengal and Orissa people die of starvation, one should make sure that the poor are benefited by this distribution . He also mentioned about deaths due to starvation and said the government is ready to create awareness.
