West Bengal  Government wants more Security Forces for the Election


In order to combat any possible Maoist attacks during the state assembly election, the West Bengal government has asked for an increased number of security and extra helicopters from the central government of India.

In an All India Conference on Naxalite Problems in Delhi’s Bigyan Bhavan , the Chief Secretary of West Bengal government, Amit Karan Dev said that the Maoist attacks in West Bengal are on an increase. Recently there were as many as nine attacks in West Bengal .
