Bangladesh’s Opposition Party Questions Government’s Sincerity for Dialogue

The Awami League on Friday said that the BNP-Jamaat coalition government is not interested in reforms in the caretaker government system and the Election Commissionand this is evident from the prime minister Khaleda Zia’s vehement opposition to those. They alleged that the Prime Minister, in several of her public meeting recently has been repeatedly saying a no to the proposals.

Party leaders were speaking in a meeting of Awami League Central Working Committee which was presided over by the party chief Sheikh Hasina. The ALCWC meeting unanimously decided that the party would not participate in any dialogue with anti-liberation forces, war criminals and collaborators of 1971 as well as communal forces.
