Garment workers at Savar and Gazipur continued to ransack factories over arrears and low wages on Thursday, threatening a repeat of widespread rioting which destroyed or damaged dozens of industries a week back.
The agitating workers vandalized computers, knitting machines, furniture in three factories and assaulted at least 20 officials, including a foreigner, at the Gazipur area and Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ).
