At least one member of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was killed during a fierce shootout between the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and the BSF in the bordering river Ichhamati on Monday night near Padmashakhra, a bordering village in Sadar upazila in Bangladesh.
The BDR and BSF members exchanged around 30 shots during the skirmish that started around 7:30pm.
