A special tribute was paid to Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, on the 30th anniversary of his death through focusing on some special aspects of his life, particularly his idea of secularism .
In an interview Professor Rafiqul Islam, the Nazrul Professor of Bengali from Dhaka University said that Nazrul Islam was a non communal person and he always believed that the root cause of problems in the Indian subcontinent was communalism.
Professor Rafiqul Islam also said that Nazrul’s special fascination for Mustafa Kamal Pasha of Turkey was due to Kamal Pasha’s secular policies.
