India’s Defense Minister Pranab Mukherjee addressed the United Nation General Assembly and said that India demands UN intervention for quota reforms in the multilateral funding agency to enhance its "creditiblity and legitimacy".
The Defense Minister said UN should have more power. He said, "In our view, there exists an overwhelming logic for giving the UN a role in providing direction to the comprehensive reform of the international financial and trading systems."
Pranab Mukherjee also spoke about terrorism and nuclear disarmant.
