In a statement, the prime minister said the current situation in Iraq calls for changes in the cabinet. He did not give any details of the changes he wants to make.
In violence on Sunday, a suicide bomb attack killed at least 35 people and wounded about 60 at a police recruitment center in Baghdad. Most of those killed were young men waiting to join the force.

Gunmen ambushed three minibuses near the town of Latifiyah, killing at least 10 Shi'ite passengers and seizing about 50 others.
The travelers came from the central town of Diwaniyah.
