Army in Bangladesh should be kept above Debates & Divisions:  Jugantor Editor

Golam Sarwar , editor of the Jugantor, a daily newspaper published from Dhaka said that debates and confusions regarding a previous news on the deployment of army was unfortunate. There were confusing and contradictory news on this issue.

Although a circular saying that decisions have been taken for army deployment was sent to District Headquarters by Home Secretary , the Advisors expressed their awe and surprise at this decision. The Home Secretary was severely blasted for sending this circular which was later on withdrawn.

The Jugantor Editor says that the civil society in Dhaka thinks that armed forces in Bangladesh should be kept above political debate and differences.

In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Golam Sarwar describes definitive distinctions between the present caretaker government and the previous ones. He says that the present government need to be more proactive.

President Iajuddin Ahmed has taken too much responsibilities on his shoulder not taking into consideration his own health and age. Golam Sarwar feels that in order to be successful, the Chief Advisor –cum-President should delegate responsibilities on the shoulder of his colleagues in the cabinet.
