There are speculation in Bangladesh that the Chief Election Commissioner M A Aziz might resign or take a leave of absence during the election period.
The presidential delegation, that had met the CEC on Monday morning to persuade him to take a decision on whether he will resign or take a leave of absence in an effort to resolve the political impasse, announced after the meeting that a positive result would come in 24 to 48 hours.
