Abed Khan , a prominent journalist and editor of Shamokal said that President Iajuddin Ahmed should relinquish the responsibility of the Chief Advisor of the Caretaker government in order to make the government neutral and non partisan.
In an exclusive interview with VOA Bangla , Abed Khan says that in the first place a President who was elected as a party nominee should not have take up the post of the caretaker government. Abed Khan says that the right atmosphere for the election in Bangladesh is yet to come.
He says that in order to have a fair election, the election commission must be transparent, transparency must be in the system, in the voters’ list and people who work in there must have a clear idea about a fair election. He also said that the administration has been very slow and he blamed the Chief Advisor for not maintaining coordination with his advisors. Abed Khan also dismissed Mahfuzur Rahman’s attempt to designate himself as the Acting Chief Election Commissioner.
