Bangladesh's main opposition alliance has suspended its transport blockade after the interim government ordered a clean up of the voters' list and a new date for the January polls.
Opposition leader Sheikh Hasina said she wants to give time to the election commission to carry out reforms ordered by the government.
A 14-party opposition alliance had alleged that the list contains names of people who are either dead or do not exist, which it says can be used in favor of the outgoing government.
Another demand of the opposition to remove the election commissioner from the scene has already been met.
