Nobel Peace Prize winner from Bangladesh Dr Muhammad Yunus, who is the founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh has recently announced his decision to launch a political party with a difference.
People who are opposed to traditional politics in Bangladesh have welcomed his decision to join active politics and say that Yunus would be able to bring about qualitative changes in Bangladeshi politics. Others, including some of his admirers, believe that Yunus’s popularity might quickly plummet for being in politics. Some strongly criticize his decision to form a party.
The issue of his joining politics has become the talk of the country On one hand he has numerous admirers who want him in politics and others who believe he should remain above politics and partisanship. In this edition of Hello Washington , our guests have tried to answer questions on this issue.
