Despite recent controversy over the land acquisition for industrialization in West Bengal, US Inc on Thursday gave a big thumbs up to the state of West Bengal saying that American companies were eager to invest there.
US India Business Council (USIBC) Chairman Ron Somers, is heading a 15-member high-profile business delegation to explore investment opportunities in West Bengal.
Somers, has invited the chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and Industry Minister Nirupam Sen to visit the US at the end of June to attend the 32nd anniversary of his chamber of commerce.
Somers also praised Ratan Tata who owns the Tata industries.
