The Awami League joint general secretary, Obaidul Kader, arrested by the army-led joint forces at the house of his colleague at Malibagh in Dhaka early Friday, was sent to jail on Saturday on a 30-day detention.
Tareque Rahman still remains in remand and his being grilled by security officials about the alleged extortion case and other related matters.
