On Monday two American senators sent a letter to Indian IT majors, seeking details of H1-B visas issued to the staff of these companies.
New Delhi quickly reacted. Commerce minister Kamal Nath said he was surprised that the senators directly wrote to the IT companies. He said such issues as work visas are inter-governmental in nature and should be dealt with accordingly.
