Three bombs went off on Tuesday in the northern Indian town of Gorakhpur.
The crude bombs were packed inside lunch boxes and went off in a crowded marketplace.
Six people have been injured.
Security was heightened in Gorakhpur in the wake of the explosions.
Four days ago an historic mosque in the southern city of Hyderabad was bombed, killing 11 people.
Another five people were killed in riots that erupted after that bombing.
