The 107th birth anniversary of the famous rebel poet of Bengali language Kazi Nazrul Islam was observed in his native place Churulia , at Burdwan district in the Indian state of West Bengal on Saturday.
The celebration started with a morning march and despite scorching heat the fans of Nazrul gathered in a cultural function at Churulia.
Different programs were also held in Kolkata to observe the birth anniversary of the poet. Recitations of his poems and rendering his songs were the main attractions of the program.
