Jahanara Imam was a freedom fighter, writer, educator and a social and political activist.
She had dedicated herself to the 1971 war survivors and started a movement against the collaborators of Pakistan Army.
In her remembrance, a memorial museum was inaugurated on her death anniversary on Tuesday.
Her son Rumi was killed by the Pakistani Army. Jahanara Imam’s other son Saif Imam spoke to VOA about the new museum.
