Bangladeshi-Americans in Greater Washington staged a demonstration in front of US State Department.
The protesters handed over a letter to Nicholas Burns, Under Secretary, US State Department expressing their concerns and disappointment about arrest of former Prime Minister and Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina and recent events in Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina’s son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy commented to VOA, Bangla service about the arrest.
US-Awami League organized the protest.
