A trial train from Dhaka leaves for Kolkata Sunday to discuss unresolved issues about the launch of direct passenger rail services between the two neighboring cities.
The train with 35 government officials on board will start from the Cantonment Station in the capital at 7.00am, a railway official said.
Additional secretary of the communications ministry ATKM Ismail will head Bangladesh delegation. An Indian delegation arrived in Dhaka on July 8 on a trial train to discuss the issues on the launch of Dhaka-Kolkata passenger trains.
