Chief Justice of India Says Infrastructure of Courts Should be Improved


The Chief Justice of India, Justice K G Balakrishnan, on Sunday, asked judicial officers to do away with lengthy interim orders and discourage pointless arguments in order to speed up justice delivery system.

Chief Justice Balakrishnan made the comment during a workshop on "Techniques and tools for Timely Justice".

He said that the judicial officers should be strict and discourage pointless arguments by counsels that could delay disposal of cases. He also said that the infrastructure of courts should be improved for ensuring speedy disposal of cases.
