Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division Lieutenant General Masud Uddin Chowdhury has said that terrorism in any name be it religion or any other name will be dealt with Seriously .
Masud added that terrorism today transcends national boundaries and has become an issue of serious concern to the international community. Acts of violence generate fear as well as a sense of insecurity and violence assumes various forms such as killing of innocent citizens, kidnapping and assassination of prominent political leaders, bomb blast and bank robbery including extortion, sabotage and so on. General Masud said that dealing with terrorism requires special legislation beyond criminal law to provide the military and security forces with necessary legal authority and investigation tools to ensure the prosecution of suspected terrorists.
He also said that new lists of more corrupt people are likely to be made public soon.
