The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected the government’s request for staying the High Court interim order that granted detained Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina bail in Noor Ali extortion case and also stayed operation of the ACC order that asked her to submit financial statement.
A six-member full bench of the Appellate Division, headed by Chief Justice M Ruhul Amin, also directed the government to file a regular appeal against the High Court rulings and fixed August 16 for hearing.
