Bangladesh Ranks 7th in TI Corruption List

The Berlin-based anti-corruption organization Transparency International on wednesday released its annual corruption perception index for 180 countries and Bangladesh ranked seventh in the list of world's most corrupt countries.

The index score relates to perceptions of the degree of corruption as seen by business people and country analysts and ranges between zero, which is highly corrupt, and 10, which is very clean.

Although Bangladesh's position improved slightly this year after being branded as the world's most corrupt country for successive years, the country's score 2.0 remained the same as it was last year.

Amir Khasru has more on the story.
