Awami League and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal do not want the Election Commission to register religion-based political parties.
Awami League presidium member Tofail Ahmed said that according to the draft proposal of the Election Commission, religion based political parties are not supposed to be eligible to register with the Commission.
Awami League and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal -- two allies of the Awami League - led 14-party coalition – are trying to revive the coalition.
