Veteran CPI(M) leader Jyoti Basu used a conciliatory tone and suggested a possible compromise with the Government regarding the stalemate over Indo-US nuclear deal.
Referring to his meeting on Sunday with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Basu told reporters that after the meeting he spoke to Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechuri. He said he has asked them to listen to what the Minister has to say and to see if it is possible to work out a compromise.
