The US Treasury Secretary Henry M Paulson Jr will be visiting India this week where he would meet senior government officials including Finance Minister P Chidambaram and business leaders.
Starting off on October 28 from Kolkata, Paulson will meet with West Bengal Chief Minister Bhattacharya and local business leaders. Hopes are rising fast in the Indian state of West Bengal for greater US investment.
Analysts think that if the Treasury Secretary gives a favorable comment for investment in West Bengal , that would draw US investors to this Indian states where the communists still rule.
