In order to expedite importing rice from India, Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, the Advisor for Foreign Affairs in the caretaker government spoke to Pranab Mukherjee , the Indian External Affairts Minister.
Mr Chowdhury informed Mr Mukherjee that soon a high level delegation would visit Delhi to finalize the deal for importing rice from India. Bangladesh government will now import rice from Indian government agencies.
The Bangladesh Foreign Advisor Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury thanked Indian External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for withdrawing the ban on Bangladesh’s investment in India.
