Bangladeshi authorities on Tuesday brought a new corruption charge against former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and at least nine former ministers.
Anti-Corruption Commission officials say the case dates back to 2004 when irregularities over the awarding of a contract to a Chinese firm led to a government loss of nearly 23-million dollars.
Ms. Zia's second term as prime minister ran from 2001 to 2006.
