The outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom or ULFA rebels on Sunday killed four persons and wounded 53 others in a powerful bomb blast at a Mising community festival at Jonai, in northern Assam’s Dhemaji district.
The bomb blast took place after midnight at Jonai, where a local festival, Ali-Aie-Lrigang (Lrigang), was being celebrated. More than 1,000 people had gathered at the venue for the cultural festival.
