The BNP-led four-party alliance’s 72-hour ultimatum for the release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia expired on Wednesday.
The alliance has now announced new programs to press home their demands for the release of Khaleda Zia, lifting the state of emergency and holding parliamentary elections before upazila polls.
The new programs include a march to the Chief Adviser's Office on August 21 and submit a memorandum before Chief Adviser Fakhruddin Ahmed and form human chains countrywide on August 27.
