Dr Brian De Broff speaks to VOA Bangla Service


Dr Brian DeBroff is a Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the School of Medicine in Yale University. He is also the President of a non-profit humanitarian organization named Distressed Children and Infants International.

This organization is presently taking care of nearly 800 poor and disadvantaged children in Bangladesh.

In its Sun Child Adoption Program, Dr DeBroff recently developed a technique of cataract surgery by which congenital blindness can be treated.

He practices the latest techniques in adult and pediatric cataract surgery, including complicated and traumatic anterior segment surgery. Dr. DeBroff also performs ReSTOR lens implant which improves and increases visual acuity for patients undergoing cataract surgery.

In this exclusive interview with VOA Bangla Service Dr Brian DeBroff explains his new technique by which he treated many children in Bangladesh.
