In order to
provide free education to the Nepalese children, the Maoist-led Government is
planning to convert all the private schools in the country into government
establishments within two years.
Speaking at an interaction program on Friday Finance Minister Baburam Bhattarai said that the government was planning to convert all the school into government establishments in two years time to provide free education to all up to class XII.
As education and health sectors fall under government's jurisdiction, the private institutions need to find other fields for making investment, Bhattarai said.
Accusing the private schools of making huge profits by exploiting the students, he called the operators of the private schools to find alternative sector for diverting their investment.
