The visiting UN panel said that the Bangladesh election was “free and fair.”
Francesc Vendrell, head of the UN panel on Bangladesh election formed by the secretary-general made the comment at a press conference in Dhaka.
He also said that though they directly did not observe the election, judging from the reports from other election observers, they deem the election "free and fair."
He also said there are challenges ahead for the nation.
