Indian Parliament’s Lok Shobha’s Speaker, Somnath Chatterjee who was expelled by the CPM for refusing to resign his post during the no-confidence vote, may be given back his membership.
A section of the party is very vocal about their demand that he is reinstated and they argue that Chatterjee will be an asset to the party.
Party leadership will consider the issue if a proposal comes from the Bengal branch.
