The government will issue a notice within one week asking BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to give up her house in Dhaka cantonment.
The defense ministry will issue the notice, which is now under process. In the notice Khaleda Zia will be requested to leave the house within a specific period of time, Law Minister Shafique Ahmed said.
He said if Khaleda Zia does not leave the house as per terms of the notice, then the law will take its own course.
He made the comments while talking to reporters after holding a three-hour long closed door meeting with the attorney general, additional attorney general, cabinet secretary, defense secretary and former director of Cantonment Board at his secretariat office yesterday afternoon. State Minister for Law Qamrul Islam was present at the meeting.
