Two students were killed in an alleged shootout with RAB at midnight Thursday in Dhaka. Human Rights organization- Odhikar in a report said that 12 people were killed in the so-called shootout in May this year and 136 last year.
In an interview with Voice of America’s Bangla service, Odhikar Executive Director Nasiruddin criticized this kind of extra judicial killing by law enforcing agencies. Meanwhile, Amnesty International in its annual report criticized extra judicial killings in Bangladesh.
