Bangla Service, Habiba Chowdhury talks about the objectives and activities
of the Institute. She said that their work involves a number of
projects where the religious ideology of the Prophet of Islam is related
to the pragmatic needs of our society both in context to Bangladesh
and in global context as well.
Habiba Chowdhury was recently in Washington DC to attend a Seminar sponsored by the World Bank for civil societies such as this one. In this exclusive interview, Chowdhury said that they have been researching and working on the use of the Zakat Fund for poverty alleviation in Bangladesh, have expressed concerns regarding Climate Change, and are seeking to meet these challenges through inter-faith dialogue. They have held a number of inter-faith programs in Bangladesh where they invited representatives from all the major religious groups in Bangladesh.
