A parliamentary team meant to assess the impacts of the Tipaimukh Dam over the Barak River in Manipur, India, has postponed its visit to the site.
The team consists of Awami League lawmakers and is led by a former water resources minister, Abdur Razzak.
Current Water Resources Minister Ramesh Chandra said that July 15th has been set as a tentative date for the visit. There had been some confusion regarding the date of the visit, though he said that the final date will be decided upon by the 13th.
The main opposition, BNP, has not yet named its representative to the travelling team.
Amir Khasru has the details in his report.
